My PhD is focussed on using controlled source electromagnetic data to generate resistivity image beneath an area of gas hydrate presence in the west Svalbard continental margin. I use the resistivity models along with coincident seismic reflection and seismic velocity (when available) to infer hydrate and free gas saturations in the area.

Thoughts on the Conference
The BGA conference was very well organised and the quality of talks and posters were very high. And it is a great opportunity for us PhDs to present our work amongst our peers and realise that what we are doing in relevant and interesting to other people in the community.
